Los osteomas son tumores benignos, o crecimientos excesivos de tejido \u00f3seo; su causa no est\u00e1 muy bien comprendida y se piensa que es una combinaci\u00f3n de gen\u00e9tica, trauma o antecedentes de infecciones. Los osteomas pueden aparecer en la frente, dentro de los senos nasales e incluso en el cuello. De hecho, algunos pacientes describen sus osteomas en broma como un cuerno. Los osteomas externos pueden aparecer en la frente y en cualquier lugar del cr\u00e1neo \u00f3seo. El principal s\u00edntoma de estos osteomas suele ser un bulto visible que algunos pacientes desean mejorar o tratar.
