What led you to consider labiaplasty?<\/strong><\/h3>

Our patient, who had researched labiaplasty for years before coming to our practice, wanted to keep her name and identifying information confidential while sharing her labiaplasty experience at Aviva Plastic Surgery.\u00a0 “It truly has been the best thing I have done for myself,” she says, explaining that her labial appearance had made her feel different and self-conscious since she was a teenager.\u00a0 “I noticed that my inner lips were long after I went through puberty,” says our patient, “and while it’s such an awkward thing to discuss, I really started looking into ways to improve or treat my labia probably 8 or 9 years ago.”\u00a0 She goes on to explain that while labiaplasty surgery was top of mind for her, various factors like having a busy school schedule, student loans, and a job with a packed travel schedule kept her from pursuing surgery for years.<\/p>

How did you decide to proceed with labiaplasty at Aviva Plastic Surgery?<\/strong><\/h3>

“I got lucky to meet Dr. Fishman through a friend,” explains our patient, noting that she came to Aviva Plastic Surgery for facial aesthetic treatments and then learned about our women’s wellness expertise.\u00a0 “I knew labiaplasty is a delicate surgery, and I had read that it can be done under local anesthesia, but I didn’t realize how straightforward recovery would be until I spoke with the Aviva team,” says our patient.<\/p>

\u00a0The recovery was a pretty smooth 5 days of as much rest as possible, and no travel.\u00a0 “My results, even at 2 weeks after surgery, are already so good–so much better and so much more comfortable than what I felt before,” says our labiaplasty patient, “and I know I still have a bit of swelling, so my results will only get better as that goes away.”<\/p>
