Description

This 42-year-old woman was bothered by the size of labia minora her entire life, and did not like how they protruded beyond the labia majora (or external lips of tissue at the opening of the vagina).  She felt self-conscious of the area when wearing bathing suits and tighter or athletic clothing.  Our expert staff treated her with labiaplasty, using the wedge technique.  Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure to reshape the labia and remove excessive or asymemtric tissues.  The patient had her procedure in the comfort and privacy of our office, and did great while being awake and relaxed with laughing gas and by-mouth relaxing medications.  She is shown with a great result and excellent healing progress at just 2 weeks after surgery.  Her labial contours and scars will continue to soften and improve over the course of a year after surgery.
