Kybella

The aging process, weight gain, and genetics can contribute to unsightly collections of fat along the jawline, jowls, and under the chin, and these can be difficult to improve with diet and exercise. Proper definition of the chin and jawline is an important aesthetic feature in both men and women.

Kybella is a fat-dissolving injectable medication which Dr. Fishman uses to melt away fat deposits under the chin; this same medication may be used in an off-label manner to treat other parts of the face and body.

KYBELLA: TREATMENT DETAILS

Kybella is an injectable fat-melting medication which is FDA-approved for the treatment of submental fullness, or a double chin. It can be used in to treat unwanted fat collections at the jawline and neck, and offers a non-surgical alternative to liposuction. Depending on individual patient anatomy and aesthetic needs, Kybella treatment may be performed by itself, in combination with a skin-tightening procedure, or in combination with injectable fillers to strengthen the chin and jawline. Kybella typically requires several treatments to achieve the desired aesthetic goal.

WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS AND RISKS OF KYBELLA?
