In recent years, women’s wellness procedures have become more mainstream and commonplace. Still, it can be uncomfortable for women to talk about intimate health, sexual health and function, and genital appearance concerns. Luckily, our staff are experts in this field and are here to answer questions regarding vaginal rejuvenation treatments.
Vaginal rejuvenation isn’t one single procedure. Instead, this term is an umbrella phrase that covers a large number of non-surgical therapies, surgeries, and minimally-invasive laser treatments that address concerns related to the external labia (lips of tissue around the vaginal opening), vagina, and the pelvic floor.Â
Each patient is unique, with her own individual anatomy. As such, each patient deserves individualized treatment. Depending on a patient’s goals, whether aesthetic or functional or both, there are a variety of treatments available. At Aviva Plastic Surgery, we offer specialized expertise in labiaplasty, monsplasty, clitoral hood reduction, Votiva non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation treatments, PRP injections, and injections of filler to improve sexual function and labial appearance.Â
Women go through many physical changes with age, weight changes, and hormonal changes such as pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause. While these changes are normal, they can lead to unwanted vaginal laxity and dryness, decreased sexual stimulation and urinary incontinence. Women with these issues may be great candidates for vaginal rejuvenation.
During a consultation, we can discuss your concerns and goals to help determine whether you are a good candidate for vaginal rejuvenation, and which specific treatments are best for you. While many women with sexual health, appearance or function concerns can benefit from vaginal rejuvenation, we generally avoid treatments in patients who are pregnant or currently menstruating.Â
This question is difficult to answer without a thorough consultation and discussion of your concerns and treatment goals. Every patient has uniquely different concerns and goals, and depending on the desired results, there may be many treatment options available. During your consultation, we weigh your goals as well as potential downtime associated with treatments, considering many factors in your lifestyle, work, and family and social demands. Whether PRP injections for improvement of sensitivity or Votiva vaginal rejuvenation to improve vaginal lubrication or labiaplasty to reshape the tissue around the vagina, we consider many treatment options when creating a customized treatment plan for you.
Although your concerns may be functionally based, many women’s wellness procedures are not covered by insurance. At Aviva Plastic Surgery, we are not in network with any insurance companies, with all treatments being self-pay. We offer a number of financing options, such as CareCredit and Cherry Financing, to make treatments more affordable for patients. The staff at Aviva are more than happy to discuss these options to help find a payment plan that works for you.
Great question, and the answer is not clear cut. PRP harnesses the healing and rejuvenative power of your platelets, tiny cells responsible for creating a blood clot and healing areas of injury, to improve vaginal sensation and sexual satisfaction. Some women may benefit from both PRP to their vaginal and labial tissues and filler injection to the G-spot, to improve vaginal sensation and stimulation; meanwhile, some patients may not be good candidates for PRP due to some medical problems or chronic medications, and these patients may instead benefit more from filler, topical estrogen application, and topical exosome (growth factor) treatments.
Knowledge is power, and people are more interested in health and intimate wellness than ever. If you have any further questions about vaginal rejuvenation, or would like to schedule a consultation, give us a call or text at (678)974-8435, or send us an email to hello@avivaplasticsurgery.com. We look forward to working with you!
