Morpheus8 is a treatment that improves the texture of the skin by using microneedling with radiofrequency; it targets the subdermal or deeper layers of the skin and tissue to stimulate increased collagen production and remodeling. Morpheus8 treatments can be performed on any part of the body and addresses problems with loss of elasticity in the skin, acne scars, wrinkles, fine lines, and stretch marks.
Good candidates for Morpheus8 treatments are individuals who are bothered by the appearance of sagging skin, sun damage, deep lines or wrinkles, stretch marks, or acne scarring. Our Facial Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Inessa Fishman, determines a patient’s candidacy for Morpheus8 after a thorough review of the patient’s medical history and physical exam, creating a tailored and individualized treatment plan. You should be in good health, show great physical and psychological maturity, and have realistic goals and expectations to be a great candidate for Morpheus8.
Our staff prepares patients for Morpheus8 treatments by applying a topical numbing cream or injectable local anesthesia to ensure comfort. Once a patient is numbed, the Morpheus8 treatment begins. Tiny needles with specific radiofrequency penetrate the skin and fat to create a smoother texture and more even skin tone, with minimal to no damage to the external skin. Our staff often uses Morpheus8 in combination with PRP (platelet rich plasma) for optimal results and quicker recovery.
A gentle emollient such as Aquaphor or Vaseline is applied to the treated skin for the first 24 hours after treatment.
Makeup may be applied to the treated area 1-2 days after treatment, or after the treated skin is healed.
You should avoid strenuous exercise or any physical activity that causes sweating for 2 days post-treatment.
Most patients experience light swelling and redness for a day or two after treatment.
While you should never have much sun exposure without skin protection, your skill will be particularly sensitive to the damage of UV radiation for the weeks immediately following your treatment. Sunblock with SPF30 should be applied to the treated skin after the skin is healed.

The initial results of Morpheus8 are noticeable within 3-4 weeks after treatment, and optimal results are seen roughly 3 months afterwards. Our staff generally recommends a series of Morpheus8 treatments separated by 6-8 weeks for best results.
