Description
This 46-year-old woman came to our practice interested in removing her left forehead under-the-skin bump. She has had this for less than a year; the bump had a”appeared suddenly” and was slow to grow.
Our facial plastic surgeon Dr. Inessa Fishman diagnosed the patient with a likely forehead lipoma (benign fatty growth) via a thorough physical exam and ultrasound imaging. Dr. Fishman removed the growth through a small incision in the patient’s scalp hair so as to eliminate the chance of visible scarring on her face. The patient had her surgery in the comfort of our clinic, while awake and relaxed with by-mouth relaxing medications and laughing gas. She is shown 10 months after surgery, with a great outcome and essentially invisible scarring that is already well-hidden by her scalp hair.
