Description
This 32-year-old woman came to our practice interested in removing a raised dark mole just below her left eyebrow. She didn’t like its appearance, and wanted it removed with as little scarring as possible.
Our Facial Plastic surgeon Dr. Inessa Fishman removed the mole via a procedure called shave biopsy, using radiofrequency energy to remove the growth and minimize visible scarring on her face. The patient had her treatment in the comfort of our clinic, with the help of injected numbing medicine; her procedure took a total of 15 minutes. She is shown 2 months after treatment, with a great outcome and a smooth, invisible scar. A small amount of hyperpigmentation (darkening of the skin at the biopsy site) will resolve over the next 4-6 months.
