Description
This 34-year-old woman was bothered by her nose bridge bump and wanted her nose to make her nose look less prominent and “less bony.” Dr. Fishman treated her with preservation rhinoplasty, reshaping her nose while preserving as much of the patient’s own natural anatomy and nose support structures as possible for a more natural and long-lasting result. The patient is shown 2.5 months after surgery, with very good healing progress. Her nose will continue to become more refined in appearance over the next 9-12 months.
About Rhinoplasty Procedure
Rhinoplasty is surgical reshaping of the nose, a treatment which permanently improves the nasal contours. Concerns treated with rhinoplasty include an overly long or too-short nose, a bridge hump and a too-low nasal bridge, and a droopy or overly full or “ball-like” nasal tip. A crooked nose or a nose with unsatisfactory changes after previous trauma or nose surgery is also treated with rhinoplasty. Our facial plastic surgeon Dr. Inessa Fishman specializes in both preservation and piezo rhinoplasty, which both utilize advanced techniques for less post-operative bruising and swelling as well as natural, long-lasting results. Dr. Fishman also performs traditional and revision rhinoplasty. She commonly performs rhinoplasty surgery as a standalone procedure or in combination with a septoplasty or blepharoplasty.
