Description
This 31-year-old woman wanted to improve the appearance of her nose; she was bothered by the large bump at her nasal bridge, and a droopy nasal tip. Facial plastic surgeon Dr. Inessa Fishman treated her with surgical preservation rhinoplasty, bringing down the height and straightening the nasal bridge and rotating the nasal tip. The patient is shown at just 1 month after surgery, with excellent healing progress and a remarkably small amount of swelling. Her results will continue to improve for the majority of a year after surgery.
Rhinoplasty is surgical reshaping of the nose to improve its appearance and sometimes function, like breathing. Dr. Fishman uses preservation rhinoplasty, piezo or ultrasonic rhinoplasty, and traditional rhinoplasty techniques to give you the most natural and elegant treatment results. Because every patient has individually different anatomy and treatment goals, Dr. Fishman customizes her rhinoplasty approach to each person, and no two surgeries are exactly the same.
About Rhinoplasty Procedure
Rhinoplasty is surgical reshaping of the nose, a treatment which permanently improves the nasal contours. Concerns treated with rhinoplasty include an overly long or too-short nose, a bridge hump and a too-low nasal bridge, and a droopy or overly full or “ball-like” nasal tip. A crooked nose or a nose with unsatisfactory changes after previous trauma or nose surgery is also treated with rhinoplasty. Our facial plastic surgeon Dr. Inessa Fishman specializes in both preservation and piezo rhinoplasty, which both utilize advanced techniques for less post-operative bruising and swelling as well as natural, long-lasting results. Dr. Fishman also performs traditional and revision rhinoplasty. She commonly performs rhinoplasty surgery as a standalone procedure or in combination with a septoplasty or blepharoplasty.
