Description

This 19-year-old woman wanted to improve the appearance of her nose.  She was bothered by a small bump on her nasal bridge, and a droopy nasal tip, which drooped further with smiling.  Our facial plastic surgeon Dr. Inessa Fishman treated her with surgical septorhinoplasty, using advanced preservation rhinoplasty techniques to straighten her nasal bridge, and support the nasal tip to prevent it from drooping.  The surgery also helped straighten the patient’s septum and improve breathing.  The patient is shown 5 months after nose surgery with great results, and loves her new nose.

Preservation rhinoplasty focuses on preserving the many natural structures and connections inside the nose, resulting in shorter recovery and more stable and predictable long-term results.  Dr. Fishman uses preservation rhinoplasty and “hybrid” rhinoplasty (combination of classic component separation and preservation rhinoplasty) techniques to provide her patients with the best outcomes.

About Rhinoplasty Procedure

Rhinoplasty is surgical reshaping of the nose, a treatment which permanently improves the nasal contours.  Concerns treated with rhinoplasty include an overly long or too-short nose, a bridge hump and a too-low nasal bridge, and a droopy or overly full or “ball-like” nasal tip.  A crooked nose or a nose with unsatisfactory changes after previous trauma or nose surgery is also treated with rhinoplasty.  Our facial plastic surgeon Dr. Inessa Fishman specializes in both preservation and piezo rhinoplasty, which both utilize advanced techniques for less post-operative bruising and swelling as well as natural, long-lasting results.  Dr. Fishman also performs traditional and revision rhinoplasty.  She commonly performs rhinoplasty surgery as a standalone procedure or in combination with a septoplasty or blepharoplasty.Learn More About Rhinoplasty
