Description
This 44-year-old woman came to our practice interested in improving the appearance of her outer labia; she wanted to make these look more full and plump. She had lost weight using injectable weight loss medications, and felt this made her outer labia (labia majora) look deflated. On exam, she had moderate-pronounced volume loss on her labia majora (outer folds of skin around the vaginal opening).
We treated this patient with a bilateral fat grafting to her labia majora using fat from her flanks and inner thighs to revolumize the labia majora. The patient is shown 6 months after her fat transfer treatment, and immediately after the addition of dermal filler for an additional volume augmentation of the labia majora. She has a beautiful result and improved volume of the outer labia.
Our patient had her treatment awake and relaxed in the comfort and privacy of our clinic, and was excited to see her results immediately after surgery. She did not receive general anesthesia, and was very comfortable during her treatment with relaxing medications, ProNox (laughing gas), and injected numbing medicine.
