Description
This 58-year-old woman came to our practice interested in upper lip lift surgery. She reported having had 2 previous treatments of Juvederm lip filler within the last 3 years, and getting Botox lip flips regularly. She reported “loving the look” of the lip flips, and wanted to replace the need for continued lip filler and lip flips with lip lift surgery.
Our facial plastic surgeon Dr. Inessa Fishman treated her with a bullhorn upper lip lift, performing this surgical procedure in the comfort of our office, with the help of by-mouth relaxing medications, laughing gas, and injectable numbing medicine.
The patient is shown 4 months after her lip lift, with a beautiful outcome and essentially invisible scarring. She has a more open and “brighter” smile, and her upper lip is now more balance with her lower lip. The red part of the upper lip (where lipstick is normally applied) looks fuller after treatment, without the addition of fillers or volume.
